MULTAN - District Coordination Officer Nasim Sadiq hurled a warning to 32 families reluctant to get their kids vaccinated against polio, saying action will be taken against them under Section 144 if they fail to get their children vaccinated against polio within two days.
Chairing a meeting held here at his office, he said that 100 per cent vaccination target would be achieved this year. He added that the polio teams would be given complete protection.
He urged on the parents to get their children administered polio drops and prevent them from permanent disability.  It is to be noted that over 0.6 million children below the age of five will be administered polio drops during next phase of anti-polio vaccination campaign.
Referring to kite-flying, he said that there would be strict ban on kite-flying and no one would be allowed to cut the throats of innocent children. He warned that if the sale of kite flying material was located in any area, all those responsible for the negligence would be sent to jail. He said that the sale of fireworks was also banned in the district and no one would be allowed to do this trading.
