The government is according priority to education and allocating funds generously as only education can guarantee prosperity and development at every level, said the state minister for parliamentary affairs.

“We must groom our youth keeping in view the challenges of future,” said Sheikh Aftab Ahmad addressing as chief guest a parents’ day function held at an educational institution.

The state minister said that the private sector was playing an important role in enhancing literacy rate and preparing young generation for the upcoming challenges. He said that in Attock district, an agriculture university and a medical college will be established in Attock for which all the requisite formalities were being completed. He said that these projects would cost more than 1 billion rupees. He said that the government was working to put the country on the road to development by alleviating poverty, eliminating unemployment, injustice, bribery and corruption. The government would turn Pakistan into a developed country, he claimed.  The minister emphasised upon the teachers and parents to educate students to meet the future requirements. H said in Attock, educational facilities were available at par with big cities.

“We must avail these facilities and educate our children as only education can guarantee better future. The dreams and vision of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam will come true.”

He urged the students to work hard for their better future and for their parents who fulfil their monetary and other demands with great difficulties. He praised the performance of the students who presented a tableau and national songs.

The principal in his welcome address highlighted the achievements of the institute and said that it was imparting quality education with limited resources. Later, the chief guest gave away trophies and prizes to the position holders.
