ISLAMABAD- President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan was keen to further strengthen friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the Republic of Kosovo at all levels including political, economic, commercial, cultural and educational fields.
The President said this while speaking to Enver Hoxhaj Foreign Minister of Republic of Kosovo during meeting at the Presidency today.
He said that being two democracies, our parliamentary institutions could also play a facilitative role in forging partnerships and brining the people of Pakistan and Kosovo closer to each other and urged for exchange of Parliamentarians, youth and students to enhance people to people contacts.
Welcoming Enver Hoxhaj on his visit to Pakistan, the President said that Pakistan values its ties with Kosovo and expressed hope that visit of the Foreign Minister will pave way for further strengthening relations between the two countries.
The President stated that Pakistan fully supports the ongoing regional efforts for peace and stability in the Balkan region and expressed hope that Kosovo and Serbia through dialogues and discussions would peacefully address the outstanding issues between the two countries.
The President also conveyed his best wishes for health and wellbeing of his Kosovan counterpart Madam Atifete Jahjaga and for the continued prosperity of the people of Kosovo.
Mr. Enver Hoxhaj, Foreign Minister of Republic of Kosovo thanked the President and government of Pakistan for the hospitality and said that Kosovo desires to further strengthen the close equation with Pakistan particularly trade and economic ties.
