Pakistan’s iconic fashion force HSY is set to present two new collections at the upcoming edition of Pakistan Fashion Design Council Sunsilk Fashion Week.

A luxury collection from the House of HSY will be the grand finale for PSFW16’s luxury pret shows and the HSY Limited high street collection as designed and developed in collaboration with the Kashf Foundation as part of HSY’s philanthropic women empowerment ethos, will be presented on day 4.

‘S/S ’16 is a big season at HSY and we are delighted to bring two very diverse collections to the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week ramp. We pride ourselves on accessibility as a brand which is the driving ethos behind us showing two distinct collections: our more formal luxury wear one and another that speaks to the high street patron.

For HSY Limited specifically, we were privileged to be working so closely with the artisans supported by the Kashf Foundation, an organization that has shaped the lives of so many women in the past 20 years’ said Hassan Sheheryar Yasin. HSY will introduce his new menswear ambassador, Bilal Ashraf for 2016 at PSFW16. HSY’s S/S Luxury Pret Collection ‘Be Yourself’ embraces the spirit of individuality. This same ethos manifests itself in the collection, with work inspired from different regions of the world, to create individual statement pieces as a collection of separates which reflect ones’ individuality instead of simply following trends.

Based in utilitarian and luxe fabrics alike including mercerized cottons, chiffons, organza and silks, the collection presents a range of menswear and womenswear across a range of silhouettes including cropped jackets, safari suits, along with tunics, trousers which are boot cut or with larger volumes for breathability. Shalwars like the patiala/the 80s balloon shalwar have been redesign to make it look more contemporary along with presenting interesting detailing such as a distinctive dropped armhole sleeve. From the Ikats of Indonesia to Latin American florals based in sunny yellows and vibrant pinks to hues of indigo and peacock blues, the collection is cheerful with unexpected colour combinations and is a homage to travel, luxury, and the freedom of expression.

The HSY Limited collection in collaboration with the Kashf Foundation will follow on the 4th day of #PSFW16. Indeed this collection was borne out of HSY’s commitment to empower more women and lesser privileged communities in Pakistan as part of his mantra, Giving is the new Achieving - an initiative that he first launched in 2014 with his Sher collection.

The collection pays homage to the rural working women in Pakistan and is a representation of the Kashf Foundation’s 20 year journey. Inspired by strong, independent women from all walks of life/ The HSY Limited for Kashf Foundation collection combined a variety of functional outfits, in neutral, earthy tones. The collection is made up of wearable, easily layered separates that can be styled in different ways so as to let your personality shine through. Though the collection lays such a strong focus on traditional craftsmanship, the end result is truly practical and contemporary.
