ISLAMABAD - A meeting on Saturday under the chair of Acting Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi, reviewed the security arrangements and decided that new security passes will be issued for every session. The meeting also decided that employees of the Parliament House and other departments will wear security passes and it will be mandatory at the time of their entrance in the Parliament building. However, the meeting decided that the media persons would use press gallery cards of the last session to enter the Parliament building for coverage of the proceeding of forthcoming session of the NA. Acting Speaker NA, Faisal Karim Kundi presided over the meeting. The meeting reviewed security arrangements and took decisions to further beef up of security of the Parliament House. The meeting decided to open an additional entry gate for the flagged cars to avoid traffic congestion during sessions of NA and Senate. It was decided that decisions taken by the committee regarding the security arrangements may be circulated amongst the members of the NA and Senate in the form of bullet points. The meeting was attended by Secretary National Assembly, Karamat Hussain Niazi, Secretary Senate, Raja Muhammad Amin, Joint Secretary M/o Interior Tahir Sarfaraz, AIG Special Branch Mr Shakeel Durani, Superintendent Police Islamabad Capital Terrotory and senior officers of National Assembly and Senate.
