Education role in elimination of social evils stressed

Islamabad - A delegation from German Embassy headed by Dr Dan Tidten, Head of Press and Culture Section, along with Anna Emmanuel, Assistant for Media and Cultural Section, inaugurated computer laboratory at Sir Syed Ideal School, Mohramuradu Campus, Taxilla.
In his brief address to the students, Dr Tidten emphasised the importance of education in 21st century and appreciated the efforts being made by Sir Syed Ideal Educational Society in providing quality education and social services in remote areas within their limited resources.
Chairman of Sir Syed Ideal Education Society Professor Tahir Mahmood Khan in his opening remarks highlighted the role of education in the creating of a progressive society and the elimination of social evils by inculcating the distinction of good and bad in the minds of budding youth.
Vice-Chairman Asad Yaqoob and the General Secretary Tahir Durrani briefed the guest about the activities and services of Sir Syed Ideal Educational Society. The coordinator of the event Saif Tahir briefed the delegation about the achievements and the future plans of the society.
The guests appreciated the management, discipline and the efforts of the school administrator Anis Ahmad and his family in preservation the cultural heritage of the historical village.
