LAHORE - Mothers & Kids Lifestyle Expo 2015 began at AI-Hamara Mall Road on Saturday to mark the celebrations of International Mother's Day. The event, which gathered thousands of visitors, was inaugurated by chief guest Kiran Dar, MNA & former minister for social welfare department, Punjab.
First day of the expo attracted thousands of mothers and kids along their families. Besides them, Zulfikar Ali Badr, representative of SAARC Chamber of Commerce, Shamim Akhtar, chairperson alternative Health Products Committee, LCCI, Muhammad Aleem Baig, CEO AIM Concerns, were also present as guests of honour on the inaugural ceremony of expo.
Chief guest Kiran Dar, member of National Assembly said that significance of mothers in the lives of individuals and nations could not be denied, as they were the real builders for any nation. "I pay tribute to all the mothers on this special occasion. We should not forget the sacrifices and services of our mothers', she opined.
This first ever expo of mothers & kids is aimed to recognize the efforts of mothers as women entrepreneurs, working women, care givers, educators, trainers, and of course as mothers. "So this expo brought the different brands and consumer products together in a single platform for people from various segments of society largely for moms and children, who came and spent the entire day and enjoyed the exhibition and activities planned around it," said Neelofar Aleem, organizer of the event. Visitors, especially women liked the discount on various stalls like garments, jewellery, bags & kids products.
The highlights and main activities of the exhibition were the activities pavilion for children, healthy baby competitions, seminar on the issue of well being & health of mothers, food court offering different food items, and several stalls offering lifestyle products and brands to visitors. This expo has more activities and special discount offers on its second & last day (Sunday). Organizers are expecting more visitors and more enthusiasm of mothers and families as the Sunday is the mothers' day.
