PESHAWAR - Under the National Action Plan (NAP) the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have rounded up 406 suspects and huge cache of arms and ammunitions, recovered in the ongoing search and strike operation being conducted throughout the province.

As per details, during the operations the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police recovered 25 arms and 206 ammunition of different bore. About 666 houses and 343 hotels were checked and 11 cases were registered against the violators. During snap checking on 188 checkpoints, 320 suspects were held and 20 arms of different kind and 359 cartridges of different bore were recovered.

During action against illegal Afghans, a total of 64 persons were detained on violation and 36 cases were registered against them. Similarly six persons were arrested against misuse of loudspeaker and six loudspeakers were seized and nine cases were registered against the violators. Security inspection of 827 educational institutions was also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up the security arrangements.
