LAHORE - As part of its campaign against terrorism, Tanzeem Al-Fajar Pakistan (TAP) has established peace clubs at 30 schools of Data Gunj Bakhsh, Ravi and Samanabad towns in collaboration with Umeed Jawan Programme.

In this connection, a ceremony was organised at Govt Central Model School. MPA Farzana Butt was the chief guest while other honourable guests included Principal Liaqat Ali Kharral, Yasmeen Ashiq, Abdul Wahid, Riaz Ahamd, Mubeer Yawar Maan, Shabbir, M Ali, Mujahid Ali and the students of both the institutions.

TAP president Akmal Ovaisi and Punjab government officials presented the objectives of the programme and the peace clubs. They stressed the need for promoting peace in the country.

Farzana urged the participants to enhance the efforts to promote interfaith harmony to minimise hate and negative attitudes by respecting the humanity. She also highlighted the efforts of government against extremism and for creating awareness for the cause. Principal Laiqat Ali advised the students to participate in the programme to ensure peace in the society.
