RAWALPINDI - Former interior minister and disgruntled PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday formally kicked off his election campaign in NA-61 by forming an election committee tasking it to mobilise voters and supporters.

The members of election committee convened a meeting at the Chakra House to chalk out a plan of action to woo voters and supporters of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in NA-61.

Those who attended the meeting are PML-N Chairman UC-91 Girja Raja Altaf Qadir, Vice Chairman Malik Naheem, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) District office-bearers Malik Sohail, Chaudhry Qamar, Chaudhry Azhar and other notables of the area.

During the meeting, PML-N Chairman UC-91 Raja Altaf Qadir said the committee members would hold corner meetings besides launching door to door campaign to muster voters to vote and support Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the upcoming general elections 2018. He said all the councillors and office-bearers of N League are united under the leadership of former interior minister. He said Chaudhry Nisar is a seasoned politician who has also launched series of development projects in his constituency. He said there is no division between the local body members in UC-91 and all are with former minister Chaudhry Nisar. He said soon MNA Chaudhry Nisar would hold meeting with members of the election committee.
