SARGODHA - The police on Sunday rescued daughter of a labourer kidnapped some seven years earlier. Two kidnappers were also arrested during operation.
According to details, seven-year-old Ume Kulsoom, daughter of a labourer Younas was abducted from Muqam Hayat area of Sargodha on May 20, 2014. The kidnapped girl was earlier taken to brick kiln in Khushab and then to Chakwal where she served as forced labour and used to sexually abused by abductor and his accomplices.
Later, accused entered into fake ‘nikah’ with Kulsoom and she gave birth to a child at age of 13 years. The police using the latest technology traced the girl and rescued here besides arresting two culprits Ahmad Ali and Shoaib.
The rescued girl was handed over to her family who lauded police for its action and demanded strict action against the detainees.
The police have registered a case against the nabbed abductors and started investigation.
Youth killed in road accident
A youth was killed in a road accident, in the limits of Bhagtanwala police station. Police said on Sunday that Muhammad Waseem, 25, resident of chak 23 SB was riding a motorcycle when a rashly driven mini truck hit him near Bhagtanwala. He died on the spot. Police handed over the body to the heirs after legal formalities. A case has been registered against the truck driver.
7 held for doing wheelie
Police arrested seven persons for doing wheelie and rash driving during the last 24 hours.
According to police, Shahzeb was arrested from canal road and Waqas from Chak No 409-GB over one wheeling. Bilal from Jawad Club Chowk, Usman from Latif chowk, Ahmed from Awan chowk, Mateen from 409-GB, Kazim Ali from Sargodha road were arrested for rash driving. Police have registered cases and sent the accused behind bars
