QUETTA - The relatives of Baloch missing persons took out a protest rally urging the UN to take notice of the disappearances and discovery of bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch political activists. A large number of relatives of missing persons including Baloch women and children who had come from far-flung areas of Balochistan participated in the protest rally that was held on Monday, first day of Eid. The rally which was organised by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), after Eid prayers marched through Jinnah Road, Share-e-Iqbal, Meezan Chowk and assembled outside Quetta Press Club. The protesters were holding placards and portraits of their dear ones and were demanding from the UN and humanitarian organisations to take notice of the illegal abductions of their relatives. Addressing the protesters, President VBMP Nasrullah Baloch, sisters of Zakir Majeed, Sami Baloch, Jalil Reki and daughter of Dr. Din Muhammad said that people around the world were celebrating and reuniting with their families but they had come out to streets to voice for the recovery of their beloved ones. They alleged that more than 250 bullet-riddled bodies of Baloch missing persons had been recovered. 'If immediate steps were not taken for the recovery of missing persons it would lead to a human tragedy, they feared. They said that Judicial Commission formed by the government had been unable to recover a single missing person.
