ISLAMABAD - Abbottabad Region was in command against Sialkot Region as they finished the second day on 430-7 in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2013-2014 third round Group I match at Abbottabad Stadium on Saturday.

M Ali scored 131 while Kamran Ghulam smashed unbeaten 129. Hasan Ali took 3-106 and Waqas Ahmed 2-102. Earlier, Abbottabad resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 106-3 in 39 overs. At Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi finished second day on 59-0 in 19.2 overs in their second innings. Earlier, Peshawar resumed their first innings at the overnight total of 65-1 wicket in 11.5 overs and were bowled out for 243 in 62.4 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed scored unbeaten 92. Nasir Malik took 4-98, Akhtar Ayub 3-61 and Haseeb Azam 2-71. In Group II match played at Diamond ground, Hyderabad scored 147-2 in 51 overs against Islamabad on the close of play. Mir Darya Talpur was unbeaten at 72, while Zeeshan Gul scored 50.

PRESIDENT'S TROPHY: Pakistan Television (PTV) finished the day two on 4-0 against PIA on the second day of President's Trophy Grade-I (2013-2014) third round match here at the National ground on Saturday. Earlier, PIA resumed there first innings at the overnight score of 98-1 in 31 overs and were all out for 382 in 107.2 overs. Kamran Sajid smashed 148 with 19 fours and one six. Test player Faisal Iqbal scored 96 and Anwar Ali made 36. M Ali Bhutta took 5-79 and Zohaib Ahmed 3-68. At KRL Ground, HBL were in trouble as they finished the day two on 85-4 against KRL in 32.3 overs. Imran Farhat made 31. Yasir Arafat took 2-37.

U-19 THREE DAY: National Bank finished day two on 5 without loss in one over against KRL in the Regions/Departments U-19 Three-day Tournament 2013-14 round three pool B match at Marghazar ground on Saturday. Earlier, put into bat first, KRL were all out for 236 in 79.5 overs. Asim Ali made 64 and Nisar Afridi 51. M Asghar and Tabraiz Dyer took three wickets each. No play was possible on the opening day due to rain and wet ground. At Mirpur Cricket Stadium AJK, Port Qasim finished day two on 33-1 in 14 overs against State Bank.
