Karachi- Reiterating his party’s stance for creation of new provinces, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has vowed to make a separate Saraiki province after coming into power.

Addressing a general workers meeting of MQM’s Punjabi-Saraiki organizing committee from London, Altaf Hussain presented a new formula for the formation of provinces. He said there should be one province for population of ten million.

“I will announce Saraiki province first when our party will come into power,” he affirmed. “People of Hazara have long been raising their voice for a new province but no one is ready to listen to their calls,” Altaf Hussain said.

He said in order to run the government in an effective manner, it is imperative to form new provinces which will be in the interest of people.

“With the introduction of LB system along with creation of new provinces, the feudal system will die its own death,” he argued. “LB system represents the first step towards democracy, thus, in its absence it is impossible to take the process to the secondary level,” he said.
