Hasham made vice chief of naval staff

ISLAMABAD - President of Pakistan has appointed Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff with immediate effect, said a notification issued here on Sunday.
Vice Admiral Khan Hasham Bin Saddique was commissioned in the Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy in June 1980. He undertook initial training at Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, UK. On commissioning, the officer won the coveted Sword of Honour from Pakistan Naval Academy. He got his early education from prestigious PAF College Sargodha and FSc from Cadet College, Petaro. During his distinguished career, the Admiral attained vast experience of both command and staff appointments. His command appointments include Command of a Destroyer, Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy, Commandant Pakistan Navy War College, Commandant National Security College at the National Defence University, Commander Pakistan Fleet and Command of Multi National Combined Task Force 150 at HQ NAVCENT Bahrain.
His key staff appointments include Chief Staff Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Plans), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Admin), Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Projects). Prior to his appointment as Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, the Admiral was serving as Chief of Staff at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.
In recognition of his meritorious services, the Admiral has been awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military). Meanwhile, a prestigious Change of Guards Ceremony was held by Pakistan Navy at Mazar-e-Iqbal in its traditional spirit, customary enthusiasm and befitting manner.
