ISI representatives can’t be included in rigging investigation: Ishaq Dar

Islamabad- Finance Minister Ishaq Dar today said the inclusion of Inter Services Intelligence in judicial commission, as demanded by PTI chief Imran Khan, to probe alleged rigging is totally impracticable.

“There is no law of jungle or monarchy in the country and the government cannot form a judicial commission against the constitution,” Dar said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.

Responding to the fresh demands of Khan, Ishaq Dar said intelligence agencies officers cannot be inducted as the constitution doesn’t allow such unprecedented demands.

Imran had demanded the inclusion of the representatives from Pakistan’s premier intelligence agency for probing the election rigging.

Dar clarified that the government had not suspended negotiations with the PTI. “The sit-ins in Islamabad caused a severe damage to Pakistan’s economy,” he lamented.
