ISLAMABAD: MQM Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar has written a letter to Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) seeking disqualification of deputy mayor Karachi Arshad Vohra for joining Pak Sirzameen Party (PSP).

According to media reports, Farooq Sattar has said in the letter that quitting MQM Pakistan and joining another party by Arshid Vohra is breach of law and constitution, therefore he should be deseated.

Farooq Sattar cited to November 3 coordination committee meeting of the party stating that his party had authorised him to take legal action against Arshid Vohra in this meeting.

Farooq Sattar has demanded that by polls be also held on his local council seat after the seat is declared vacant following disqualification of Arshid Vohra.
