Imran should stand in the court, says Marriryum

ISLAMABAD - Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Ms.Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that Imran Khan instead of standing with the court should be standing in the court of law and be ashamed of waiting for the umpire's finger.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, she mentioned a litany of indiscretions by Imran for which she felt he should be ashamed of himself, including: conspiring against the elected government by staging sit-in ; gambling with the party funds and donations; attacking the Parliament; making the judiciary and the Armed Forces controversial; absconding from the Constitutional and legal institutions; not answering the allegations of Ayesha Gulalai; covering up his corruption by locking the Ehtesab Commission in KPK and fomenting chaos, anarchy and discord in the country during the last four years motivated by his lust for power.

Meanwhile, Marriyum Aurangzeb has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Quetta.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, she said that personnel and officers of law enforcing agencies, police and Armed Forces were rendering unparalleled sacrifices for safety of lives and property of people and security of the country.  She said that their sacrifices would be written in golden words on the pages of history.

Marriyum said that the enemies of peace and progress of the country would never be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs.

She said that the whole nation was united against terrorism and such heinous acts on the part of terrorists would not be able to shake its resolve.

The Minister said we would not lower our guard till the elimination of the last terrorist.

She expressed her sympathies with the affected families and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
