KHANEWAL - The Punjab Professor and Lecturers Association (PPLA) vehemently condemned, “what they called”, an ‘unlawful’ inquiry by the Higher Education Commissioner (HEC) Islamabad against five professors of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan.
PPLA central general secretary Prof Sheikh Yousuf and Multan division general secretary Hafiz Taj Din said that according to the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, every province has its own higher education commission. “If there was any issue or complaint against the five senior professors of BZU Multan, the HEC Punjab was the authority to take action or order inquiry against them,” they asserted. They termed inquiry against the BZU professors, ordered by the HEC Islamabad, unlawful. They vowed to go all-out against, what they termed, violation of the Constitution.
