LAHORE - The number of stray dogs is growing in the city rapidly, which is not only causing nuisance for citizens but also creating fear due to increasing dog biting incidents in different vicinities of the City. In this regard, a dozen of citizens were brought to various hospitals of the city for vaccination in last two weeks. Reportedly 10 patients were brought to different hospitals from the surrounding localities of Railway Station. In this regard, District Officer (Health) Dr Shahid Ikram said that the district government under the direction of Executive District Officer Health Dr Fayyaz Ahmad Ranjha had already launched a campaign in order to eliminate stray dogs from the city. Various dog hunting squads killed 200 dogs during the campaign in different areas of the City. He claimed that soon the city would become free from stray dogs.
