LAHORE A delegation of the National Students Council, representing a large number of children members of the 'Right-On-Network under the banner of Childrens Museum for Peace and Human Rights (CMPHR) gave presentations on awareness and reducing carbon emissions join the Global Work Party on Oct 10. The program was held at the PIAs head office, spokesman of the airline said on Saturday. The students were from Habib Public School, AMI School, Defence Authority School, ABSA School and College for Dumb and Deaf, CAS School, BVS Parsi School, Shah Wilayat Public School and Bahria College who gave presentations on Carbon Emission, he said. The program was attended by Deputy Managing Director PIA, Salim Sayani and other officials of the airline. The students also presented the signing campaign to the DMD, PIA. Salim Sayani appreciated the efforts made by the students and assured them of the airlines support and assistance for the cause. The DMD said that carbon emissions had badly affected our environment. The level of our natural resources is declining due to excessive use of these resources. This abundant usage of natural resources has increased the carbon emission level in our environment which had resulted in global warming. Book on domestic violence published Vice Chancellor Punjab University Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Prof Dr Yasmin Nilofer Farooqi of PU Department of Applied Psychology on publication of her third book titled Domestic Violence, Abuse, Stress and Cognitive Therapy. Verlag Dr Muller (VDM), Germany has published the book. Students visit Aiwan The students of Lareb Sunrise School Fatehgarh visited Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on a study tour on Saturday. The students were informed about 550 unique pictures and scenes of Pakistan Movement followed by a ceremony to inform them about Pakistan Movement which was addressed by Schoolteacher Miss Maria. Meanwhile Mobile Units of Nazria Pakistan Trust led by coordinators visited ILM College Garden Town, The Scholars High School for Boys Walton road and Jinnah Public School China Town. The students at ceremonies were informed about the ideology of Pakistan and they were given prizes in the quiz programme and correct recitation of Allama Iqbals verses. Sets of books were also given to school libraries. Exhibition A Solo Exhibition of Photography by Erfan Ullah Babir will be held at Alhamra Art Gallery on October 12 Tuesday. The Lahore Arts Council will organize the exhibition while Dr Shaukat Mahmmod inaugurate.
