LAHORE Police investigators of various police stations have failed in tracing the killers of four men, who were killed over different incidents in the provincial capital. According to details, Faisal Qureshi was killed in Johar Town area couple of days back but the investigators are yet 'wasting their efforts in doldrums. Johar Town investigator says the policemen are near to nab the culprits. The body, however, was handed over to the bereaved family on Sunday. Meanwhile, the policemen probing into the murder of Shafaqat Butt in Batapur have arrested four suspects on Sunday. A 60-year-old Shafaqat Butt was gunned down by Abdul Salam over old enmity near a graveyard in Bhesen Village a few days back. Policemen hope positive revelations would be unearthed from the arrested persons namely Abdul Salam, Javed alias Jajji, Sabir and Babar. A senior cop said the deceased Shafaqat Butt was a notorious court absconder and involved in killing of former PPP leader Mushtaq Ghurki. Naseerabad police, which is probing into the murder case of the deceased Basheer Masih, have yet to ascertain any positive revelation. Basheer Masih worked as sweeper at a boutique owned by a famous Fashion and Dress Designer Hassan Shehryar commonly known as HSY in Firdoos Market. The body was Basheer was found strangled to death and hanging to a ceiling fan inside one of the rooms of the boutique whereas valuables worth millions of rupees went missing. Police say they are trying their best but nothing has come out so far. Meanwhile, the murderers of one Tariq Masih, who was killed near Darbar Adalat Shah on Multan Road in Chung police area, are still at large. Police sources said both of the accused were killed on offering resistance during dacoity bids. Police concerned said that investigation on different aspects is underway with no arrest so far. Later, the bodies were handed over to the bereaved families after police completed necessary medico-legal formalities.
