ISLAMABAD (APP) - Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani was the only leader representing PPP who went to Muzaffarabad on Saturday to express solidarity with people of Azad Kashmir, who lost their children, brothers and sisters in the devastating earthquake on the fateful day of October 8, 2005. This was stated by Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majid while talking to APP here on Sunday. Former Prime Minister and President of Muslim Conference, Sardar Muhammad Attique accompanied the Prime Minister Gilani during his visit to Muzaffarabad. The AJK Prime Minister said the tragedy was colossal that brought lives to a dead stop within seconds because the capital was presenting a scene of graveyard and the then PMs words still reverberate when he said, 'I am the PM of graveyard. Chaudhry Abdul Majid acknowledged and appreciated PM Gilani for taking time out to visit Muzaffarabad to share grief with the people and the relatives who lost everything in the earthquake. Gilani while speaking at the newly inaugurated Mir Waiz Maulvi Farooq Shaheed Medical College said the Government of Pakistan would continue its support in the rehabilitation of the people of the AJK and financial constraints would not be allowed to come in the way. The AJK PM extended his deep sense of gratitude to Prime Minister Gilani for unwavering support to the cause of Kashmiri people and naming of the Medical College as Mir Waiz Maulvi Farooq Shaheed Medical College, which indeed were the physical manifestations of his commitment and of the people of Pakistan.
