KARACHI (APP) - Postmaster General Balochistan and Sindh Circle, Agha Anwer Gul on Sunday said that in addition to its annual contribution of Rs 4 billions in revenue of the country, Postal department delivers 438 billion letters and 6 billion parcels per year, throughout the world. He was addressing as a chief guest in a programme organised to mark the World Post Day at Postal Training Center, Karachi. He said that the Pakistan Post plays a significant role in the country as its employees perform their duties in all weathers and difficult situations. PMG Karachi Circle, Shahid Iqbal said the Pakistan Post is an international mean the people utilize to deliver and receive their messages and parcel from different parts of the world. The Pakistan Post also organizes letter writing competitions to promote the trend of letter writing. Later, Principal of the Training Center, Manzoor Ahmed read out the message of Director Universal Postal Union (UPU). Earlier, Agha Anwer Gul hoisted the flag of the UPU to start the celebrations of the World Post Day. The chief guest also distributed certificates of excellence, cash prizes and Postal Tickets albums among the winners of letter writing competition.
