LAHORE PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has claimed that President Asif Ali Zardari is not sincere to eradicate corruption from the country and to bring a qualitative change. He expressed these views during an interview to a private TV channel on Sunday. He said that PML-N could no longer see the destruction of Pakistan and an immediate change in the country was vital to bring improvement. Replying to a query, he said that PML-N would never back any unconstitutional step for bringing a change in the government. He said that PML-N has no connections with any banned organisation and he alongwith his party men would leave politics if anyone establishes their contacts with any banned outfit. He further said that masses are not ready to acknowledge the current set up a democratic one, as it has failed to provide electricity, gas and other basic necessities to the people, adding, that the government could end the loadshedding if it really interested in taking up the challenge. Nawaz said that democracy in Pakistan is getting a bad name due to daily-basis corruption scandals. He said that PML-N always practiced politics of principles and never preferred personal interest over principles. 'Punjab government has broken the begging bowl and PML-N would say no to international donor agencies at Centre when it is voted to power, he stated. He said that Pakistan has rendered numerous sacrifices in the war on terror and finger pointing against the country is raising many questions. He said that Pakistan needs a friendly Afghanistan and it should not look for options of a friendly government in Kabul.
