LAHORE - Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Chaudhry Shafiq Ahmed dismissed 30 policemen from the rank of inspector to constable.

From corruption to misuse of power and from illegal detention to poor performance, policemen have been sidelined a variety of issues.

A police spokesman said on Wednesday that the city chief also ordered the revision of four sub-inspectors to the rank of assistant sub inspector (ASI) besides giving various punishments to 25 other police officials on different charges. Lahore CCPO also accepted the appeals of 97 police officials and set aside the punishments awarded to them by different police officers. He was listening to the appeals of 156 cops.

The CCPO dismissed Inspector Nazim Nazir, SI Muhammad Sabir, Muhammad Saleem, Traffic Warden Muhammand Irfan, Abdul Hammed, Ghulam Rasool, Shahbaz Afzal, Sabtian Raza, Muhammad Usman, Nisar Ahmed, Fahad Masood, Zeshan Riaz, Kashif Saddique, Rashsid Mehmood, Fahad Anwar, Iftikhar Hussain, Adeel Asghar, KHuram Naseem, Lady Traffic Warden Aisha Khanam, Sajida Anwar, Muniba Murad, Bushra Batool, Farzana Iqbal, Noshin Tasadq, Head Constable Aattiqur Rehman Constable Waseem, AHsan, Muhammad Sadiq, Muhamamd Azam, Zeshan Ahmed and Muhammad KHawar on the charges of dereliction from duty, misuse of authority and corruption.
