Danish wins $5000 Squash Open title

ISLAMABAD - Danish outclassed top Kuwaiti player Ammar Altamimi 3-1 to lift the $5000 First Insurance Squash Open 2013 title in Amman, Jordan on Wednesday.
Danish was top seed in the event and despite losing the first game, he never lost his heart. His hard work paid off and he completely dominated the much superior player and wont the final. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in the semifinals, Danish had to face stiff resistance from Ahmed Al Zabidi also from Kuwait but he won the marathon encounter in 65 minutes. Danish lost the first game 12-14, but went on to win the next two games 11-3 and 11-7 in a row. Ahmed then bounced back and won the fourth 11-5. Danish then showed his class and went onto to take the fifth and deciding game 11-7, thus winning the prestigious title. Pakistani Ambassador in Jordan hosted a diner in Danish’s honour at the Pakistani embassy.  PSF senior vice president Air Vice Marshal Syed Razi Nawab, secretary Group Captain Amir Nawaz and head coach Jamshed Gul congratulated Danish on his success and hoped he would continue giving such performances in future too.
