BERLIN - World javelin champion Christina Obergfoell has admitted she had no stomach for bobsleigh after trying the sport in a bid to win gold at the 2014 Sochi Winter Games. "Last winter, there was a secret training session," the 32-year-old, who won her first javelin world title in Moscow in August, revealed in German magazine Sport Bild. "I went on the bobsleigh track in Altenberg (in east Germany) as a brake woman with Cathleen Martini (the 2011 two-woman world champion), but after one run I thought I was going to die and spent the next two hours vomiting." Having won Olympic javelin silver medal at the 2012 London Games, Obergfoell admitted the bobsleigh experience crushed her dreams of winning medals at both summer and winter Olympics. "After that I was done with the subject," she said. –AFP
