A graduation ceremony of Air Defence Operational Training Course was held at School of Air Defence, Sakesar on Wednesday. Air Vice Marshal Ijaz Mehmood Malik, Air Officer Commanding, Headquarters Air Defence Command was the chief guest of the function.

The chief guest awarded certificates and trophies to the winners. The trophy for overall best performance was awarded to Pilot Officer Awais Arif. Officers from Royal Saudi Defence Forces also graduated in the same course.

Congratulating the graduating officers, the chief guest said: ”You are now equipped with basic and operational concept of Air Defence Operations. A vigilant and well prepared Air Defence System deters aggression during peacetime and its performance often determines the outcome of war.”

School of Air Defence Operations is one of the premier institutions of Pakistan Air Force, where newly-graduated and mid level Air Defence officers of PAF are being trained for assumption of operational duties.

Earlier, the chief guest was received by Air Commodore Naeem AKhter, Base Commander PAF Base, Sakesar.
