House of PS to CPO burgled in Police Lines

Rawalpindi - Unknown robbers burgled the house of Personal Secretary (PS) to City Police Officer (CPO) in the heavily guarded Police Lines Number 1, sources told The Nation yesterday. Police lodged an FIR on the complaint of victim and started investigation with no recovery so far.
Sources said that Muhammad Latif, who is posted as PS to CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi appeared before the Police Station (PS) Civil Lines and lodged a complaint, stating that he along with his family went to their native town for celebrating Eid ul Azha after locking their house located at Police Line Number 1. He added that unknown robbers had smashed the locks and barged into the house and made off with Rs1, 50,000 cash, gold ornaments and prize bonds. He requested police to register a case and recover his valuables. Sources said that police took into custody several siblings of police officers for investigation.
Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Aftab, who is investigating the case, when contacted, said that police were busy in tracing the unknown robbers who looted gold and cash from the house of PS to CPO. He said that he would soon solve the robbery case and would not even spare the siblings of police officers if they found involved in the house robbery. SP Potohar Division Muhammad Ateeq Tahir was not available for his comments.
The official motorcycle of the cook of CPO House Ali Akbar was lifted from PS Cantt Area by unknown car jackers. PS Cantt could not recover the motorcycle despite registration of case.
