Rawalpindi - The illegal stone crushing at Margalla Hills claimed two precious lives and left another critically injured yesterday.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured and dead bodies to a nearby hospital.

According to eyewitnesses, some five poor labourers were working in Murad Bakhat Stone Crushers near Taxila when all of a sudden heavy stones fell and buried them alive after blasting on Margalla Hills. Locals called the Rescue 1122 which moved the dead bodies and injured to a nearby hospital. One deceased was identified as Muhammad Jamil while the names of other deceased and injured could not be ascertained.  An eyewitness told The Nation that the incident took place at 6am and the rescue officials were called in afternoon. He said that body of one labourer was moved to native area in Charsadda. Malik Sajid, SHO Police Station Taxila, told media that a case was registered against owners of Murad Stone Crushers namely Murad Ali and Niaz Ali. He said the investigators recovered only one dead body from the stone crushing site.

He said that the owners of the site run away and would be arrested soon.
