LAHORE - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Samiul Haq) has announced support for the PML-N candidate in NA-122 by-elections Sardar Ayaz Sadiq .

The JUI-S leaders made this announcement at a Press conference here.

JUP-N, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazlur Rahman), Sunni Ittehad Council, PPP (workers), and Shia organisations have already announced their support to the PML-N candidate.

Addressing the media on the occasion, Ayaz Sadiq sounded quite upbeat about his win on October 11 and said, the PTI could get a chunk of seats in the May 2013 election as sympathy from the people after Chairman of this party had slipped down the elevator fixed at his rally in Lahore.

At present the situation is absolutely different as the people have awakened to the fact the PTI politics is nothing but protest with an aim to pull back the process of progress and development initiated by the PML-N government.

Rating low the popularity graph of the rival PTI candidate Aleem Khan, Sadiq said that Imran Khan would not have come to shoulder his campaign had it been any worthwhile.

He said that Imran Khan politics revolves around lies which will not work anymore in the election.

To a question on the JI support, he said that they were in touch with the main leaders of this party and InshAllah they would also support us.
