Lahore: President Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab, Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has declared the murder of the party candidate in LG election from Okara, Malik Aslam Channa as a result of conspiracy against his party which enjoys public support.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Manzoor Wattoo has said that the deceased Malik Aslam Channa was the President of the PPP from the PP-188 from where he was elected four times to various people’s representative forums.

He was now contesting the elections of the chairmanship of Qadirabad Union Council and was in commanding position so far local support was concerned. Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo condemned the murder in the strongest terms and decided to suspend political activities related to local bodies’ election in district Okara to mourn the assassination of Milk Aslam Channa and of two others.

 He demanded the Punjab government’s mandarins to arrest the criminals at the earliest and expose the conspiracy behind the abhorrent murder in order to award them detrimental punishment to the criminals.
