When we compare our universities with Harvard, Oxford or Cambridge then we find our universities backwards because there is an immense difference between the infrastructure of Western and Pakistanis universities.

In Pakistani universities libraries and laboratories are obsolete, there is a lack of research oriented studies and emphasis is laid on memorization instead of conceptual studies, there is pervasive corruption and paltry budget for education. Teachers are inexperienced practically and are devoid of communication skills. Teaching is not a lucrative job in Pakistan and hardly anyone would like to become a teacher or professor, the cream of the nation would rather join up civil services. They considered themselves centre of knowledge that’s why there is negligible teacher-student interaction.

While in Western universities it is opposite and professionalism, passion, research oriented studies and broader teacher-student interaction can be seen .
