OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - TheNation Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami in a meeting with US diplomats said that the biggest irritant for normalisation of relations between Pakistan and India is issue of Kashmir, while the dispute should be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations. He urged the US administration to play its role in resolving Kashmir dispute. Director Communication in the US Mission at Islamabad Walter Douglas and Information Officer in the US Consulate, Lahore, Leslie Nunez Goodman met with Majid Nizami and Deputy Managing Editor Rameeza Nizami at TheNation and Nawai-e-Waqt Building on Friday. Mr Nizami told the visiting US diplomats about the policy of the organisation. He also told them that Nawai-e-Waqt was founded on March 23, 1940 and this daily took enthusiastic part in Pakistans Independence Movement and ran a successful campaign for the creation of Pakistan. Mr Walter Douglas told his hosts that he first came to Pakistan in 1982 as a tourist, while he was serving his country as a diplomat since November, 2011 in Pakistan. Talking to the Waqt News on this occasion, he said that Pakistan and America should resolve their issues through dialogue if there exists any issue between the two friendly states. He said that the news reports published in the American newspapers did not reflect the policy of the US administration.
