OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE-The Lahore chapter of the PPP took out a rally on The Mall on Friday to mark three years in office of President Asif Ali Zardari and express solidarity with him. The PPP leaders including Federal Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki, Raja Riaz, Sami Ullah Khan and others led the rally which started from Governors House and culminated at Charring Cross. The participants were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favour of Asif Ali Zardari. Speaking on the occasion, Raja Riaz paid rich tributes to his leader who, according to him, remained steadfast despite all odds and undue criticism from the opposition. He declared that the rally was successful and should be an eye opener for those who think PPP was not so strong in Lahore. Raja also took the opportunity to grill Punjab government for its failure to recover Shahbaz Taseer, alleging yet again that government was involved in the kidnapping incident. He was also critical of the government for spread of dengue virus in the province, especially in Lahore. Mubashir Hassan
