The kidnapping of children is among the most worrying of issues that a society or community can face. In this age of digital communication, rumours and misinformation spreads like wildfire, and that is exactly what had happened recently. Instead of denying the kidnapping reports, higher authorities should provide the public with truth regarding the situation. Parents need to be more careful towards their children. Schools should enhance their security policy and ensure the safety of the children. Regrettable incidents should be reported to appropriate authorities, rather than the public taking law in their own hands. This would not only assist in solving this issue, but also help the authorities in formulating a comparatively accurate assessment of the situation.
