LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Sunday said that reforms to be introduced in health and education sectors will shape new Pakistan.
In a press statement, the chief minister said that Punjab government’s reforms package was part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s 100-day plan, which envisages preliminary steps to set the things right in government departments.
The chief minister said that reforms in education and health departments will bring a real change in the lives of people who have been neglected in the past.
“The Punjab government is working day and night to implement 100 days plan of Imran Khan in its true essence. A Steering Committee and 15 sub-committees have been set up for the purpose. Likewise a working group has been devised in order to fulfill the promise of setting up of a province in South Punjab on administrative grounds”, he said.
Buzdar said that government will introduce a comprehensive and long-lasting policy to eradicate poverty from underprivileged districts of Punjab.
In another statement, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that government will introduce agricultural reforms to expand production capacity and also bring change in agricultural marketing as well as Livestock culture which will be fruitful for the farmers. The Chief Minister said that provision of clean drinking water to the masses was also included in 100 Days Plan.
He said that Women Development project will give new identity to Pakistan as it was impossible to move forward on the road of progress without active participation of women. “Construction of five million houses will be a hallmark of PTI government as we are resolute to give our new generation a safe and healthy environment,” Buzdar said, adding the government was presenting “Green Growth Policy” in order to tackle global warming issues and was determined to fulfil all promises made to the public.
Also, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that government will attach preference to the development of under-privileged areas of province.
Talking to party MNA Ghulam Bibi Bharwana who called on him yesterday, the chief minister said that these resources were the right of people and he will go to last limit to give it back to them. Moreover, he said the government will fulfil hopes which people had attached with PM Imran Khan.
Also, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar congratulated boxer Amir Khan on his triumph in Super Welterweight competition. While applauding his performance, CM said that he had defeated the opponent by displaying best skilful game in the ring. “Amir Khan has once again proved himself as a professional and capable boxer.” He said that people of Pakistan were happy over the victory of Amir Khan and wished him victories in future also.
Also, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar congratulated Dr Arif Alvi who was sworn in as President of Pakistan yesterday. While extending his best wishes, Sardar Usman Buzdar said that Arif Alvi will surely extol the glory of Presidential post and will live up to his responsibilities in the best possible manner.
CM TAKES NOTICE
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of torture of student of Baha-ud-Din Zakariya University and sought report from CPO Multan in this regard. He ordered strict legal action against those who were involved in this heinous act.
