LAHORE Mian Sajjad of Punjab was declared the 2nd Yahya Classic Mr Pakistan among six top contenders shortlisted after competitions in six different weight categories. Sajjad having tough competition with Malik Muhammad Yossuf of Wapda won the title with flying colours and received the 800cc Suzuki car worth Rs 500,000 here on Saturday. The event, which was participated by over 100 bodybuilders, was organised by the Pakistan Bodybuilding Promotion Federation in coordination with Sufi group of industries. The musclemen of Police, Wapda, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and NWFP took part in the activity. Tough competition was seen among the bodybuilders of Punjab, Wapda and Police. The pre-judging of the competition in different weight categories from 65 kgs to 90 plus was held in two days at a local hotel. The judged panel included Muhammad Ijaz Khan, Muhammad Aslam Khan, Arshad Mughal, Mujahid Ali, Hafiz Anis, Tariq Manzoor Butt while Yahya Butt headed the panel and Babar Ismail Butt, who is secretary of the federation, was the chief organiser. Chairman Sufi Industries Tariqullah Sufi was the chief guest and awarded the winners prize, which was the biggest in bodybuilding, to Sajjad. Among the guests Sheikh Nasir, former Test cricketer Zulqarnain, Muhammad Ramzan, Jamsheid Iqbal Cheema, Mian Liaqat, Shahid Qadir, Sheikh Kashif and Saeed Pahlwan. Results in weight classes (first three positions): 65 kgs: Jamshaid Ramzan Punjab, Arif Baloch Punjab, Muhammad Imran Police. 70 kgs: Qaiser Mahmood Police, Mazhar Hussain Police, Muhammad Anwar Balochistan. 75 kgs: Riaz Ahmed Mahr Punjab, Malik Shafaqat Police, Muhammad Azam Police. 80 kgs: Muhammad Munir Punjab, Yawar Ali Wapda, Dawood Khan Punjab. 85 kgs: Mian Sajjad Punjab, Adnan Akram Police, Faisal Sadiq Punjab. 90 kgs: Malik Muhammad Yousuf Wapda, Farrukh Akram Punjab, Habib Ullah Sindh. 90-plus kgs: Nadeem Butt Punjab, Nadeem Butt Police, Usman Muzaffar Punjab.
