Attorney General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq on Wednesday said the government will appoint its counsel in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto reference case within couple of days.

Talking to media persons here in Islamabad, the AGP said the Law Ministry proposed some names for the government lawyer in the case, adding he will inform the Supreme Court (SC) as soon as any name is finalised, so that the court may take up the hearing of the case.

"I had apprised President Asif Ali Zardari about suspension of former Federal Law Minister Babar Awan," Anwarul Haq added.
