The concept, amongst other things, is based on the use of products/branded appliances which are energy efficient, maximum utilisation of daylight to save electricity and minimising the usage of air-conditioners wherever applicable through proper designing of buildings. As a joint initiative, the ABAD will follow up with the federal and provincial governments for the change in the existing codes, to new codes in line with the Green Energy Efficient concept and KESC will lend its assistance to ABAD whenever required. The ABAD & KESC will also be working together towards creating mass awareness on the subject of energy conservation and efficiency.
