President Asif Ali Zardari received Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman at Presidency on Wednesday.

They discussed current political situation of the country including Pakistan's relations with the United States and NATO and other issues, sources said.

According to sources, President Zardari was advised in a meeting of the coalition partners to hold talks with Maulana Fazlur Rehman aimed at removing his reservations and persuade him to attend the meetings of the Parliamentary Committee for National Security, which has been engaged in parliamentary review of Pakistan's ties with the United states.
