PESHAWAR - Chief Executive TESCO Pervez Swati has asked the Works & Services Department to clear their outstanding amount of Rs 268 million, as the financial position of the company cannot bear further addition in these arrears.
He was addressing a joint meeting of TESCO & authorities of Works & Services FATA here at the WAPDA House on Tuesday, which was attended by XENs of Works and Services FATA and TESCO authorities including Manager Operations, Manager P&E & XENs Operations.
The TESCO Chief stressed the need for coordination between the two departments on the billing and advised not to convert the water supply connections to the community as the non-payment culture in FATA will further increase revenue loss to the company.
He directed the TESCO commercial staff to streamline billing procedure for water supply schemes in FATA and discuss it with the concerned XEN Works & Services for their satisfaction.
The matters pertaining to reconciliation on the billing of water supply schemes also came under discussion in the meeting.
TESCO has arrears of Rs 10.78 million against the Public Health in Bajaur Agency, Rs 12.39 million against Mohmand Agency, Rs 137.13 million against Khyber Agency, Rs 6.02 million against Orakzai Agency, Rs 12.30 million against Kurram Agency, Rs 3.45 million against Darra Adam Khel, Rs.59.40 million against North Waziristan Agency & Rs.38.03 million against South Waziristan Agency upto Feb 2012.
