ISLAMABAD - Managing Director of the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) of Pakistan Maj Gen (r) Malik Muhammad Farooq has assured the contractual employees of the corporation that their services would be regularized soon.

He gave the assurance during his visit to USC Lahore Zone office while addressing the Regional managers, Area managers and Accounts staff there, an official of the organization told APP here.

The MD expressed his satisfaction on the performance of the Lahore Zone and congratulated the staff for registering 60 percent increase in the sale of the corporation in the zone.

Farooq directed the employees to further reform and improve the existing warehouse system for the benefit of the organization and welfare of the people. He also assured the employees that the rights of every employee would be protected and given them top priority and do away with the menace of “Sifarish” from the organization and promotions to the deserving employees will be given purely on merit basis.

“We all will join hands to eliminate corruption from the USC”, he reiterated.

The MD USC also assured that the wages of the packing workers would also be increased.

He warned that any complaint regarding the quality and prices of items in the USC would not be tolerated and action would be taken against the complaints.
