Minor gang raped on her way to school

On her way to school, a ninth-class student of Mustafaabad Pindi Bhattian was allegedly gang raped by three beasts in human being’s clothing while the police made high claims of controlling law and order in the district here on Friday.
The police have registered a case against Mohsin Ali, Muhammad Imran and four others. According to the FIR, Sobia was going through the nearby field to her school when the accused abducted her and took her to nearby outhouse where ganged raped her. On the complaint of the victim’s father, police have registered a case but no arrest has been made so far.
On the other side, ‘Parho Punjab, Barho Punjab’ Programme was launched in a ceremony attended a number officialdom.
Speakers said that education and technology play pivotal role in the progress and prosperity of a nation and Almighty Allah in his first message (Wahi) to Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW)  highlighted the importance of education. They said that the Punjab government had initiated the programme for the promotion of education in the country and it was, therefore, imperative for the parents to play their role in getting their children enrolled in the schools to make the programme a big success.
DCO Muhammad Usman said that government was providing all possible privileges to teachers and has provided sufficient funds for removing the missing facilities in the educational institutions for the promotion of education. The EDO education said that the enrolment of 50,000 kids would be ensured in the district and hoped that with the cooperation of the media, parents and members of civil society the target would be achieved.
Meanwhile, DPO Shaker Hussain Dawar claimed that District police arrested 1,355 proclaimed offenders and 1,593 court deserters during the first quarter of current year.
Giving briefing to local media here, he said that the police have recovered 50kg heroin, 16kg Charas, 2, 4 kgs opium, 8,536 litres raw liquor and smashed 12 working stills during the period under review.
Eleven kalashnikovs, 36 rifles, 32 guns, 5 revolvers, 89 pistols, one carbine and 1,030 rounds of ammunition from the anti social elements during the period, he added. He further said that stolen property worth Rs7,667,000 has also been recovered.
On the occasion he gave cash prizes of Rs122,000 and commendation certificates to 52 cops for showing good performance. He also promoted 6 head constables Rana Muhammad Yaqoob, Sabir Hussain, Amjid Hussain, Shoukat Ali, Zahoor Abbas and Aziz Ahmad to ASI rank.
ACCIDENT: Two boys were killed on the spot when their bike was hit by recklessly driven tractor-trolley near district complex on bypass. Muhammad Tayyab, a third-year student of Mohallh Mazaffar Khan, along with his friend Hamza was on their way to a filling station. Near district complex, their bike hit the tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction. Resultantly, they died on the spot. The driver managed to escape after the mishap.
ROBBERY: Another villager was deprived of his bike by three armed bandits near Manjwan village. Sikandar son of Rai Riasat Ali was on way to village Geegay by his bike. Near Manjwan village, three armed dacoits intercepted him and snatched away his bike. Bike snatching incidents have become routine in the district for the past one month and the police have so far failed to prevent the snatching incidents.
