ISLAMABAD  - Presidential Spokesman Rashid Qureshi on Sunday made it clear that President Pervez Musharraf would not resign even as the country's ruling coalition warned it was preparing a "very strong" charge-sheet for his impeachment. "The President will not step down, he has no intentions of resigning," he told a private TV channel. "He will face the impeachment motion with a democratic spirit." Qureshi said Musharraf was consulting his political allies and advisors to determine his strategy. The statement came as the leaders of the ruling coalition claimed that they were working on an impeachment move that was certain to hit its target and would be a "historical symbol" in the country's democratic struggle.
