LAHORE A 22-year-old woman and a minor boy were buried alive while three others wounded seriously when the roof of double-storey dilapidated house caved in with a bang here in Tibbi City area, police and rescue workers said on Wednesday. Local residents said that the family members were present in the house situated near Gomti Bazaar when suddenly it roof collapsed on them. Emergency service (Rescue 1122) officials and Edhi ambulances rushed to the spot and launched the operation to pull out the victims from the debris. A good number of local residents also gathered on the spot and joined the rescue operation. After hectic efforts, the rescue workers managed to pull out two the dead and the injured from the debris. The deceased were later identified as Rukhsana Bibi, 22 and 12-ywear-old Meer. However, Khalida Bibi, her son Hamza, 11, and another 24-year-old labourer were pulled out from the debris with serious injuries. They were shifted to a local hospital, where the condition of the injured boy was reported to be critical. Further investigations were underway.
