LAHORE Secretary Health Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan has directed the Health EDOs to supervise the construction work and ensure timely completion of ongoing development projects in respective districts. Chairing a meeting held here on Wednesday to review the pace of work on ongoing projects and performance of healthcare centres in Rawalpindi district, he directed EDO Health to ensure attendance of doctors and staff at all hospitals besides provision of medicine to the patients. The meeting was informed that 80 per cent work on up-gradation of RHC Kotli Satiyan to THQ hospital has been completed at a cost of Rs 110 million. RHC Kalar Syedan has also been upgraded to THQ Hospital at a cost of Rs 160 million. The meeting was told that Rs 144.465 million were spent on drug testing laboratory while Rs 126.263 million on food testing laboratory in Rawalpindi and about 50 per cent work of both these projects have been completed.
