BAHAWALNAGAR - No new province will be acceptable on linguistic and ethnic basis and all such efforts will be resisted with full force. This was stated by the District Bar Association (DBA) President and member PML-N District Organizing Committee Lawyers Wing Chaudhry Noor Hasan. In his statement issued here the other day, Chaudhry Noor said that the status of forming Bahawalpur province was to restore order while the decision to form South Punjab as a separate province on linguistic basis was not wise and would not be acceptable. He, however, said that the grievances of people of South Punjab should be addressed forthwith. Chaudhry Noor said that they would support the government in the public interest if it formed new province on the administrative basis. He appreciated the administration of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif and assured the PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif of full support from the DBA Bahawalnagar. YOUTH ENDS LIFE: A youngster identified as Muhammad Aslam, a resident of Basti Hafizabad, committed suicide by swallowing poisonous pills here the other night. According to detail, a youth Muhammad Aslam, son of Sarwar, a poor worker, committed suicide after scolding by his father on a domestic dispute. He took his fathers words on heart and committed suicide by taking poisonous pills. He was rushed to hospital but could not survive and breathed his last. Consumers critical of Ramazan bazaars: The district administration has failed to provide relief for the people and control price hike even at the so-called Sasta Ramazan bazaars. The daily use items including vegetables and fruit are out of the poors reach. The tall claims of the government regarding providing cheap essential commodities at the Ramazan bazaars have exposed. Likewise, shortage of a many commodities is also being witnessed. The consumers were of the view that the price control magistrates were paying no heed to the peoples grievances. On the other hand, shopkeepers are hoodwinking the masses by selling substandard commodities at the rates of standard ones. Comsumers Wasif, Nadim and Muhammad Salim, who visited the Ramazan bazaar set up at Kalma Chowk, Bahawalnagar, expressed their concerned over the dissatisfactory arrangements at these bazaars to provide relief for the common man. Why does these dramas are being staged by the administration if it has no potential to deliver good performance? they asked.
