PESHAWAR - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) Khyber Agency has appealed to Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kauser to take notice of the problems being faced by Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Bara Khyber agency, in Jalozai makeshift camp.

They also demanded a probe into the murder case of an IDP, who was allegedly killed by security persons during the ration distribution on August 8, and called for immediate arrest of the killers involved in the incident.

Speaking at a news conference here at the Peshawar Press Club on Friday, Haji Shamsud Din Afridi, Senior Vice Ameer JUI-F Khyber Agency, said that due to the ongoing military operation in Khyber Agency thousands of tribesmen got displaced from their homes, and now they were passing through immense difficult situation in the Jalozai Camp.

The tribesmen are not terrorists but terrorism has been imposed on them, he said adding at one hand the IDPs were passing through difficult situations at camps, while on the other hand police personnel arrested them for no reason, that turned their lives troubled.

He demanded of the authorities concerned to stop police personnel arresting and looting innocent tribesmen, otherwise warned that his party would take stand against it. The food ration, Shams said, was provided to those IDPs who had original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), whereas more than 35,000 CNIC holders of the Bara affectees have been blocked on suspicion, then how the tribesmen could be produce their CNIC.

He asked the NADRA officials concerned to immediately release the block cards that were made clear.

He also warned Nadra high-ups to stop discriminative attitude with Bara affectees and open a special counter for them to easily get their cards.

He also demanded of the government to stop the ongoing military operation without any delay and follow the way of negotiation, otherwise threatened to hold protest demonstration in front of governor house.
